Hannah Center Names Kim Bousum Executive Director

Longtime Marshfield director will lead both Central Wisconsin shelters and the Kairos Care outreach program

Hannah Center Inc., a faith-based nonprofit serving women facing crisis in Central Wisconsin, has named Kim Bousum its Executive Director, effective October 24, 2026. The Board of Directors voted unanimously to appoint Bousum, who has served as Acting Executive Director since June 2026.

As Executive Director, Bousum will lead Hannah Center's residences in Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, Hannah's Caring Closet, and Kairos Care, the organization's outreach program for women in the community. She will also oversee staff, programs, and community and donor partnerships across both cities.

Bousum joined Hannah Center in 2023 and led the Marshfield residence as Center Director before stepping into the acting role. During her time as Acting Executive Director, she unified practices and training across both locations and introduced a new organizational structure that places both shelters under one leadership team.

"Kim has led Hannah Center with steady faith, deep compassion, and a clear plan through a season of change," said Connie Teska, President of the Hannah Center Board of Directors. "The board's vote was unanimous because we have seen her leadership firsthand. She knows our residents, our staff, and our communities, and we are confident in where she will take Hannah Center next."

"It is an honor to serve the women and families who come to Hannah Center and the communities that make this work possible," said Bousum. "For more than 30 years, Hannah Center has offered safety, support, and hope to women in crisis. My focus is on building a strong, consistent home in both Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, so every woman who walks through our doors finds the same care and guidance."

Bousum's immediate priorities include staffing and training at both residences, deepening church and community partnerships in Wisconsin Rapids, and growing long-term donor relationships.
